A new exhibit on the Whiting Community Center will open on Sunday August 7th beginning at 12 noon. The exhibit features pictures & artifacts tracing the history of what was first called the “Whiting Community House” to its present use as the home of the YMCA. The exhibit is called the “Center of the Community” & after seeing the displays, you’ll understand why it was given that name. The museum is located at 1610 - 119th Street & is open on Sundays ONLY from 12 noon to 4 pm. Please stop by when you have a chance.
