Whiting-Robertsdale Historical Society Writing Contest
Topic: Describe how the coronavirus pandemic has affected you and your family, how you spent your time during this period, and how you feel about that experience.
Tell your story in 1,000 words or less, and you could win gift cards to businesses in Whiting-Robertsdale. This is a contest open to any Whiting-Robertsdale student (lives in the 46394 zip code area) from the classes of 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023, and 2024.
A panel of judges from the Whiting-Robertsdale Historical Society will choose the winners. The writers who best tell their stories will get to choose gift cards from a list of businesses. The first-place winner will win $100 in gift cards; 2nd place gets $50; 3rd place $25; 4th place $15; and 5th place $10.
The Whiting-Robertsdale Historical Society is the sponsor of this contest. All entries will become the property of the Historical Society and will be preserved in our museum for all future generations to read, so they can have a better understanding of how the coronavirus impacted our lives in 2020.
